Diesel is $2.89 here; gas $1.99 (Taylorsville KY). I thought for sure we'd seen the end of $2 gas OR diesel, but the election is now over, so it's time for prices to go back up, esp if the new president gets his way and taxes those evil oil companies. (who will then pass the extra cost onto us, the consumers).

$2.66 diesel and $1.84 gas. Last time when oil was about $60 a barrel diesel was about $2.19 so it still has a ways to go.

i dunno if its worth it to fly in, unless the pacific northwest is boring and you have money for a plane ticket burning a hole in your pocket.

without fail, it either pours rain or is hotter than hell for this weekend. sometimes both.

I went to my first Jamboree this past year, it was wet but that did not seem to dampen the thirst of some. ;-) With all big events you can never really say it is going to be a great time because it always has, Indy Nationals this year is case in point. Liability issues with 7000 pound trucks and impaired operators will likely take some of the "fun" out of more of our favorite events in the near future.

Watch out for non posted stations. I went to pick up a boat last friday and a friend and his dad wanted to tag along so he offered to drive his 4 door duramax dually. We passed one station for $2.99 and he didn't want to turn around if the shady looking place in front of us sold diesel. The only sign read "diesel fuel sold". Not the first price anywhere. He went ahead and pulled up to the pump and started pumping. $123 later he asked "how much did you pay for that?" I looked at the reciept and saw $4.25 :x Less than a 1/4 mile down the road it was $2.79. And to top it all off, that duramax sucks it down at a much higher rate than my Cummins.
