In the video, it was recorded in 06 and the maxi was a 04...........and the dodge "inferior product" Was a 02......or older. It would even be funnier if it was a 94 :sunny:

:?

They also blow head gaskets below zero............

My cummins will overheat if I stand on it longer than a couple minutes tho, there isn't enough room in there for a big enough radiator, I think.

use a wetting agent in your coolant , like " water wetter " . it will make a postive differnce .

That guy is an idiot. The early LLY had three different head castings one was really bad, the other was bad, and finally one was a good casting. Some LLY's never had any problem, others had problems hauling really heavy and some would limp as soon as you hooked a trailer to them.

That video is great. I even went to the trouble of registering myself on that website so I could leave him a comment, and it is on there in case anyone looks at the video again. And I think my username fits pretty well, CumminsPower.

My dad had a 2004 d max and he hauled his 14 thousand pound 5th wheel and he never had any problems like that. I took his camper a couple of times and ( sorry to say ) pulled very strong. I hauled a 7 thousand pound skidsteer with my 89 and then with his dmax and it outpulled me by atleast 10 mph on same hills. My favorite is still my "inferior" cummins. He wonders why it went in to limp mode. What a dumb ass. Could it be he was at 255 degrees and not lifting. They devoloped limp mode because of brain dead people like him.

it just shows what happens when you trust your diesel department to izuzu and quit building detroits for your trucks. Detroits are mean beasts.

The jimmies were noisey and leaky but they are great powerplants. I have a 8v71 in a truck. They are not much of a truck engine but are great in boats and power equipment. If you can stand the noise.
