1972 Honda CL 175

Ok, I found a mint Honda 175 and the guy wants $1100 for it. It is dark blue, has the original chrome trimmings, mint, drove it everyday this past couple of years when he could. He said it starts always on the 3rd or 4th kick. Gets him about 50-55 mpg and just had it serviced last month. He just bought a new bike and is wanting to get rid of this one. Too much? Like I said, mint! No scratches, dings, or tears in the seat.

DTanklage? Pete? Anyone?

I think it's too much. I think $500 is closer, mint and all. It's still a 36 year old bike. Look on Flea Bay and see what they're going for, that's what I do. If they don't have that exact year/model, try something close.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Thats about $125 over the new price of it in 72. I had a friend that bought one new in 72. It was $975 out the door with taxes.

If he is getting 50 MPG out of it he is babying it. The 150's, 160's, 175 normaly only ran around 35 or so MPG.

I would say about what Pete would offer.
