I can't wait to burn some stuff together! I'm a super novice to welding, so I'll be sure and post up some pictures of my first projects so you guys can get a good laugh or two!

Very nice welder. My buddy has one...I've definitely put some time into my Jeep with it. Love it.

I still have a hobart handler 120. My dad bought it when I was a teen and it still works good. Only have burned up a couple speed controlers. Made me plenty of exaust systems when I was young and stupid. I used to fill rust holes the size of baseballs for inspection..

Enjoy many years and learn to use it well. There are many things you can fab yourself after you get a little experience.

I just had to sell my mig welder due to health reason. :(

The welding smoke didn't bother her as bad as my cigars do.

I have a nephew with a mig and a 200 amp tig setup. So I can still get things glued together if I need it.

The bad part of the pacemake is it has taken me out of the maint field. Its to big of a risk for a company to have someone with one working in maint. To big of a chance of electrical shock in maint. Then loosing welding ability didn't help eather.

So now the company I am with moved me from maint to driving a yard mule. Nothing like riding around in one of those little white ovens draging trailers from 20k to 50k in weight. But its is a job and I didn't take a pay cut. So I can't complain to much.

Jeez, I didn't know you went thru that! Glad you're ok. I know a guy with a pacemaker, he leaned over the engine on his Ford and his zotted him. He's not sure if it was the engine interference or his heart skipped.

I don't know which is better, the hot factory or the hot white box. At least you're outside now. ;)

Pete these things are a little touchy around a high magnetic field. My welding limit is 90 AMPs with a short ground. Hell I don't even tack weld at that low of amps. Most of my welding was 150+ AMPs.

The place I am at beleave me that little white oven is better than inside. Last summer when it was 90+ outside I was 30' up every evening on 2nds running some sort of pipe or conduent or something. If not that I was on a stick welder doing something. Ceiling temps were in the 135 bracket. I was afraid to take a temp gun up there and see what the temp was.
