I'm going tomorrow to trade my jeep in on a 05 cummins to be my daily driver, don't worry the 90 wont ever leave, but after some research it hit me that the only chance i have at getting any kind of newer cummins with low miles before all of the pollution crap was to grab one while i still could. My father who has a 03 3500 wants to get one of the new 5500's but we can't seem to find any good resources to find out if running B100 will screw it up. If anyone knows that'd be a great help.
On a different note: I was thinking about all of this pollution crap and how the newest trucks are all getting roughly 14mpg and i've heard of fords closer to 9mpg. What I don't understand is that if my 90 averages 21mpg (empty) how is it not putting out less pollution per mile then a 2008 getting 14mpg. Wouldn't burning more fuel mean more going into the atmosphere? I understand that the newer ones have the pollution set up on them to cancel out some of the pollution but i would think it still would be putting out more if not exactly the same.
