Postby Richie O » Thu Dec 04, 2008 2:26 pm

Took these today on the boat.

This wave was 7 to 9 feet from bottom to top.

Screw that. NFW you'll get me out in a boat with the water like that. I like it when the water is sorta calm, like glass? ;)
Rich, you have bigger balls than me, you win! ;)
Like the name of the little boat though.

It was fun. Had to bring the boat up from the next town down. I had it there because our harbor is open to the wind and waves and we had a storm a couple days ago. I was surfing a 32 foot boat on the waves. I don't mind sloppy seas. I hate hauling gear when its rough but just driving, no problem. I have had them lay over bad enough so the prop comes out of the water. I took that little dingy in from the mooring to the dock. YEEE HAAAAWW. Mt big boat is the ORCA III. Its named after the boat in the movie " JAWS".

Sorry, I'm not a water dog. I like going out on a boat, but if it's like that I'd be scairt to death.
I caught the reference. ;)

Here are my boat hauling pics when i lived in alaska
i had this 21' skiff in 10 footers bringing a atv home after hunting one day
almost lost her on that trip

lots of fun
the coast guard stopped me many times because they felt that i was not suited for 17' waves but i wanted to go to town
well i guess i helped pay the coastguard salary on those trips. OOPS

this was on a calm day in this bay

i was even lucky enough to have a dock to load this one
