I'd like to see the underside of that truck. I read where is has a rockwell t-case. I'm thinking that trans would hold up to any towing conditions. Might not be so good for grabbing gears in the mud though.

With a strong cummins he should be able to start out in high range when empty, or at least skip every other gear. The nice thing about a 10 speed is the lack of needing the clutch to shift. Personally, I want the 13 speed eaton/fuller out of the kw I drive at work. 8)

I am putting a 7 speed roadranger in my project 1000rwhp street truck and hooking it to a rockwell t223 transfer case. I am concearned about the ability of the t-case to take the power, but I think since the thing will be soo light compared to what it was designed for that it might be OK. Fitting the big fuller is going to be a bit of a problem though as even with a 3" body lift its still going to take some serious hammer time to the floorboard to get it in there. 8)

While you're wishing for that 10spd, I would kill to have a 5spd...

Prefrerably an NV-4500, but we'll see how that works out...

I agree with Gear Jammer- he should be able to start on the high side, ro at least in 4th/5th. Even empty driving a big rig with a 290 or 330, I start in 4th empty- still a tare of 28-30K. Unless Bowtie Boy was just showing off.

I wouldnt want an Eaton/Fuller unless I could get one of the double OD trannies- useless with only direct, even if yougot ahold of some 3.07 gears, and a single OD isnt a great improvement over direct. But it would be great for towing super heavy.

My 7 spd has the same overdirve ratio as a NV4500 so I don't think I will have any problems.
