YES!!! I blew a few 2.0 rangers in my day. I really liked my 83. If the motor had ran more then a week at a time it would have been a great rig. I was a like 20 at the time and working in a grocery store. ( stock boy ). It was cheap to run. I really beat that thing hard. And yes they will run with the headlights under water 8) . I always blew the ring groves out of the pistons. I blew a few sets in 3 different blocks. JUNK. Sold it to the father in law. He blew 2 engines while he had it.

I may have read the first post wrong, but I believe he said he has a 727. 4.10's and a 727. I don't think mileage would be that good, even with the bigger tires.

$700 for the whole motor is a very good deal. Are you sure everything is mechanically sound?

For giggles I did some research. 3.07's with 235/85/16's would be the same final ratio as 4.10's with a 42 inch tire.

oh yeah, I fired it up dead cold and let it run for about a half hour then spent another 20 mins checking it over. Best part is I get to pull it too!

Oh and as far as 42's, best I got here is 38's so id still be a little off lmao
