Copenhagen. Then once you get converted to that it's easy to quit, because that shyt's disgusting. I've quit about 20 times in the last 30 years.

I quit a year and a half ago at 3 packs a day it was costly and killing me and I smelled like a wet stove inside. I was looking at it one day and said this is my day to quit and wadded a half pack up and threw them away. On the 3 rd day I stopped at the store and got some sour balls and used them for the reaching habit. I haven't looked back since. I love the taste I have now and won't get to close to my friends that smoke because it stinks. It took the wife and I near six months to get it out of the house and the trucks. :D
Now don't get me wrong, I still find myself wanting a smoke but it is a shorter desire now then it was a year ago. The money I saved bought my first gen and helping me put it back in good shape.
Sorry this is long but I am proud of quiting smoking and I encourage every one to quit. Did I say I feel great at 62 :D

I found the easyiest way to quit something is to never start. 8) I don't smoke or drink. It is not worth it. I know I have a boring life but am hoping I will die with good lungs and a working liver. I have a buddy that grew up next door. If he is not sucking on a cig he is puffin on his inhailer for asma. I don't understand it. I have a guy that works for me and he sounds like he is drowning in his lungs. His lungs gurgle when he breaths. My dad has friends that have smoked all there lives and they have that dry cough. My god the cough for hours every day. My dad quit before I was born over a 5 dollar bet. I worked with a guy that could not quit. I bet him 25 bucks he could not stop. I called him every weak name in the book. It worked. I gladly forked over the 25 bucks. He has been smoke free for a few years now. YOU have to decide that it is enough. Until you want to stop your going to keep smoking. I am a hard headed guy. I would just say to myself thats it, Im done.

Yeah, my lungs make funny noises too

I light my first smoke of the day before my feet hit the floor

Theres 3 reasons I want to quit 1 I don't like smelling like the inside of a wet stove. 2 All my grandparents have died of some sort of smoking related illness and 3 Its way to friggin expensive

Richie, as far as drinkin I'll never quit that stuff but I dont drink near the quantity I used to . I had a big eye opener a little over a year ago after I left the bar after a fight, Do you remember the pics of my truck all smashed on the drivers side? you do the math

I don't smoke, unless you count a cigar every year or 2. I've seen lots of people try it, some can, some can't. If you can, in a month or 2 you will be able to taste food, and smell things.
Good luck to you, I hope you crack it.
Try to stay away from the bars for a while.
My buddy only smoked when he was in a bar and drinking. Now he does it all the time.

I've chewed skoal for about 7 1/2 years now. I've tried quitting many times, but I only make it about a day before I want to rip someones head off. I've lately been slowly cutting back to try and lean off it a bit. Went from a can a day to now one lasts me three or four. I'm hoping to be done with the crap soon, and be able to keep my head on me once I do. My main problem with quitting is the feeling like I'm pissed off for no reason and looking to get into it with someone. I cut back because of the cost. I figure in the last 7 1/2 years I've spent over 10k on the crap. I could've had a nv4500 and a P pumped 600hp truck if I added that to what I already have in mine. Do the math it will help slow you down a bit at least. But I'll make a deal with you to quit at the same time if you want. Maybe that will push me enough to quit.

I just did the math and since I started at 16 I've spent 15000$ on smokes.

Like you Redneck I get pissed off for no reason or I'll go into a fit of rage  over the littlest stupid thing, tools get thrown, body panels get bent and no one wants to be around you

Redneck I'll take that deal, I got 8 uh 7 smokes left( I just lit one) when there gone I'm done( they should be gone before I go to bed), hopefully

I'd like to quit with no help (patch, gum, chantix) just cause it'll make me a little prouder for quitting with no help

Wish me luck

Every time you feel like you want a chew or smoke just say to your self out loud if needed I don't need those I just want them.

I went outside several times and yelled my head off and took a soft ball bat and dang near beat a 30 year old oak tree to the ground. The end effects are worth it. Over a year now smoke free from three packs a day for near 50 years.
Don't let tobacco control you just tell yourself its your time to quit.

I don't even smoke and I want to rip peoples head off. Just imagine if I was trying to kick a habit. Thats another reason why I never drank. My additude added on to liquid courage. I would have my face bashed in. :x

I've been smoking for about 6 years now and recently decided to try and stop. i tried to stop just cold turkey and couldnt do it. what I have done and it has helped me out trmendously is limit the time in between cig. I was smoking about 1 1/2 packs a day or so but i started not letting myself have one unless its been at least 1/2 hr since my last. then i went to 45 min. then 1 hr. a so on. just slowly lean yourself off of it. im not gonna lie i havent stopped yet but now a pack lasts me about 2- 2 1/2 days.

Don't smoke, and don't plan to start smoking. My Grandmother died of cancer when I was in 8th grade, and that was more than enough to convince me not to smoke.
