A couple of questions

Is it bad when you are plowing snow and some high tension power lines are wrapped around your headgear lights, axles, and caught in your cutting edge? Also did you know that when you back up with power lines caught in you cutting adge it will pick the front end of the truck off the ground and still not bust the insulators. You should have seen the look on the power crews face when they tried to fix the snarled up mess I left for them on the ground. He said " be carefull with the wires we need to reuse them." It was all kinked up and stove all to hell. I was real close to hooking the wire to my pintle hitch and bustin poles and everything. It took them 3 days to get the lines picked up out of a camp road I plow. I waited 2 days before I decided to plow snow and lines out of the road. It was the dead side of a dead end road. No chance of power in the lines. 8)

Its the best plow truck I have ever run. It has so much power. I have run about every type of truck and engine combo and this thing means buisness.

I've heard those Ally's don't like much more power than a stock Duramax puts out. I would love to have one behind my Cummins though.

Its got over 600 foot pounds and like 365 ponies. I would not want any more in a working truck. It already has enough to destroy the driveline. 8)

If you break it, you don't have to pay for it though. Or do you?

Have you done anything to it at all? Exhaust maybe?

Its my truck so I guess I pay for it. Its under warrenty so I am not changing anything. I have had no issues yet with the DPF exhaust. I only have just over 5 thousand miles on it. It sounds like a torpedo heater when the exhaust lights up. I actually crawled under the truck a couple of times to see if flames were coming out the pipe.

Well, I wasn't thinking at all. I completely forgot '08 model trucks have DPF's. If you work the truck hard, and keep the EGT's up, there aren't supposed to be any problems with them.

Off subject, but have you seen the video of the '10 Ram 3500? I'm not going to lie, I think they are pretty good looking trucks, but you can't even hear the Cummins. It's kind of disappointing.

You need to get us a video of that DPF.

It does work hard and thats what is saving me from trouble. Its the p/u trucks that idle around causing the issues. I wish it did not have one though. It takes away from mpg's.

I hope Cummins gets the DPF figured out pretty soon. It would be nice to have reliable daily drivers again, and the new trucks are pretty good looking.

Do you know the specs of the '10 Cummins?

Nope. Lucky to know the specs on mine. 8)

Been writing up customer bills all day. Still printing them now. I bill once a month and it takes me all day to sort through my notes. Getting crosseyed.

Parker there's a 1st gen near here for sale with an Alli in it. Guy wants $2500 for it. The ad was pretty vague, so it may be a bucket of siht. Didn't even say if it was 2 or 4wd.

The next 1st Gen I get, has to have a 5spd. I couldn't pass this truck up, because I didn't on one yet, but now that I do, I can wait as long as I want for a deal. 8)

If what Philip says is true, a stand alone controller for the Ally to even work would be almost as much as he is asking for the truck.
