Gas well drilling is probably the new #1 industry here in western PA. You can't drive a mile on any main highway without passing a large truck being used or contracted by the drilling companies. This has been going on here for almost two years so I don't know how much longer before it peaks. Maybe someone else can report in from the other parts of the state. I'm not sure if WV is getting involved so a report from the folks in WV would also be helpful to you. We have had one death locally and many injuries related to this industry so watch out for any hap-hazard shortcuts being used should you decide on coming up our way. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the info KTA, BobS.

I may take you up on the info KTA. A friend offered me a job paying a pretty good wage. So I am going to try it out. Its not welding but I could stay around here, play with my 1st gens and make decent money. I just never realy liked being the boss over more than a few people. But we will see. As long as Im not in the office much I will be ok. Wish me luck. If I dont like it I may head yall's way with a cooler full of beer, and the grill mounted on my new bed full of steaks. LOL
