BB code is what's used to do things like post images, insert links, change the color, size, or font of text, etc.

HTML is much more powerful but most of us (myself included) are too dense to use it - so it's turned off.

It's an option the forum admins set, not anything you get to play with.

BBCode is when you post a smiley you type : ! : and you get :!:

HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. It is the basic of the World Wide Web. Kinda like a standard Mustang.

Just for your information, PHP stands for Personal Home Page. A little harder to learn but very, very powerful! This board uses a mix of PHP, HTML and BBCode. This is like a Shelby Mustang.

Hope you learned something! I have "built" webpages off-line but I tried to read forum code awhile ago,

 The more I learn, the dumber I get.

I once tutored a bright young lady in college Algebra.

No matter how simple I broke things down, she just couldn't grasp it  ; although, she was quite quick at most anything else.

When it comes to this computer stuff, I often compare myself to her.
