When I was little my old man bought a brand new Magna V45. They were not as fast as the V65's but still a very fast ride. He ended up selling it to a buddy because he never used it much. Quiet and very fast.

older thread but ill comment anyway :D , ive wanted to get me an older scooter and go for the bobber look. ive had a few options but just the thought of the shaft driven bikes just failing then thats it youre down scares the hell out of me. Do any of you guys have any input or experience with this, or would this hold you back from getting one?

I had an 81 Yamaha Maxim and an 82 Seca 750 shaft drives. I beat the living snot out if those bikes and never had a minutes problem with the shaft drive. I also had a Kawi Eliminator 900 with Ninja cams, carbs, timing advancer and a bunch of other go fast stuff on it, and never had a problem with that either.
I wouldn't worry about a shaft drive bike.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
