Finally got to go on a test drive tonight!!

Figured since it had a hood stack I could post it up on here. :D

This setup is just for a test run, but it sure sounds good. It's going to be tough to run a real exhaust on it...

We can go for a spin whenever, but it won't be very exciting. I decided to take it for one full throttle blast, since I stopped at Josh's house and I could just push it home from there. The wastegate wasn't hooked up or anything, so I just figured I'd lose the HG and throw another one on tomorrow. I forgot I had duct-taped over the EGR and IAC ports in the intake so it wouldn't mess with the metered air. That poor tape held on long enough to put us back in the seat, harder than the Dodge ever has, but it just wasn't meant to be.

I gotta make some actual block-off plates, and I might buy Autozone out of cheap gauges so I can see what's going on. Nothing like taking the first drive with no gauges. :D

Story of your life!

Did it pull harder than the old green dodge? If so, I'm officially jealous.

It weighs just over 2000lbs, so it ain't gonna take much, but I think your green truck is safe for now.

That turbo sounds soooooo damn good poking out of that stack, when it's decelerating, it just keeps de-spooling forever.

SWEET. I'm a sucker for anything with a turbo on it.
I know how you are when it comes to putting an air to air intercooler on anything, so we'll just have to put water injection on this one!

It'll probably get an air-to-air, though I do have another water pump for an air-to-water.

I file water/meth under the same category as nitrous, refillable (fake) horsepower, so you won't see that stuff on my trucks. No matter how good it works. :P

Ellis, here's a link to the build thread, if you can actually call it that.

Not much to it, but there is a parts list and it's possible future plans.

Hopefully I can stop beating on the Dodge so much now.

I'm gonna weld the rearend up on that Ranger and make those tires wish they had never been born.

It'll be a nice, cheap vehicle I can go out and take my aggressions out on.

Cheap is good but is usually short lived. I've found I run out or break all my spare or cheap parts after becoming addicted to the vehicle.

There's not much on a Ranger that costs more than $200. The newer transmission I swapped in is usually a $350-ish item, but people are parting Rangers all the time.

I am speaking relatively though, all this cheap talk is comparing the same damage done to the Dodge and having to pay for it's parts.

I never could keep a 2.0 alive. I went through 3 or 4 before I gave up. Sold it to the inlaws and he blew 2 before parking it. I had a buddy with a mustang and he blew a couple.
