BOUGHT A 5ER(????)

Postby 92 D/UNIT » Thu Mar 22, 2007 7:44 pm

Bought an older 27 ft 5er, was wondering what are safe egts ? not hard for me to get to 1200 deg on med hills. when i first pulled it i could not go very fast before egts ski rocketed, so i pulled over and backed my fuel screw out one turn and it helped a whole bunch, also noticed truck accelerates much better why is this????

do your egt's skyrocket when pulling flat or on accelleration? i wouldn't think 1200-1300 would be a problem while jumping up to highway speeds, but i wouldn't want to stay there while going down the road. i'm about to be in the same boat, so other than the egt's, how does it pull?
