87 D150 20 gallon gas tank 2 available

Postby bgilbert » Fri Mar 09, 2007 4:56 am

Got a nice 20 gallon gas tank, new sending unit, out of a 87 Dodge 1/2 ton gasser short bed. Free, come get it. No shipping. Would consider bringing it with me to one of this summer's diesel truck events. I will be at Bowling Green, Ky May 11-12, IRP June 2-3, Scheid's event in August, along with many other smaller Indiana truck pulls.

Also another gas tank (both are plastic btw). This one out of a 85ish Dodge gasser. Not sure the capacity though, it's up in the garage rafters at the moment. Good condition, free, come get it.

What is going on in Bowling Green??

Will you be at TBolings June 9 ??

If nobody wants them before then, and they ain't in your way hauling them, just toss them on back of my truck when you see it; I will make something out of them, maybe use them to store molasses or something.

But, don't save them on my account.

Bowling Green, KY: http://www.tsoutlaw.com/ Probly will be one on the top events in the country this year.

I won't make TB's get together, I have a company truck driving championship in Indy that day.

It's no problem holding them for you, they aren't in the way, they are up in the rafters in the garage.

Will there be a lot of truck-related venders on location at this event??

I might just show up there, also; unless something is conflicting.

If someone comes along and wants them, turn them loose and don't wait on me; but, if it comes handy that our paths cross, I will haul them off for you and hang them in my rafters, along with lots of other forgotten projects, for the next few dozen years.

Thanks for posting the Bowling Green info.

Is this a side-mount tank like in our trucks, or a rump-mount like in the Ramchargers?

I've been playing around with the idea of mounting a second side tank opposite my drive shaft, but I would have to have a way to either lower the tank or raise the bed in order to access the U-joints or carrier bearing...

Side mount tanks like our trucks. Both from 1/2 ton gas pickups. Heck I think one of them might be bigger than 20 gallons. It's been up there for a couple years. This 20 gallon tank I just got, it looks smaller... I could be wrong.

Go to TS's site for vendor info. Last I checked there will be a few good vendors on site.
