Postby g1625s » Sun Jan 07, 2007 6:14 am

I thought I'd get this one rolling :D I'm in upstate NY, near Binghamton and am always willing to lend a hand mechanically. I'm very comfortable with the VE/Cummins and will gladly help tweek and tune to your hearts delight. I have access to just about everything short of a lift and a plasma cutter, so if you're close and just need a little extra confidence to twist that fuel screw for the first time, or if you need a Getrag built, like, yesterday, I'm here to help!

As some of you may know, I specialize in KDP killing.

I've also been known to install a 3200 RPM spring, as well as do many other pump tweaks. I have experience with injector swaps, and I've recently helped with a head gasket.

Unfortunately what I don't have is a place to work inside - but I am willing to drive a little to enjoy a day of wrenching. :)

and coming just a little further south of those two could get you to a guy who is real good at fixing things that should be replaced , but can't because of parts availabilty or flat out cost. I used to weld rockers, cab corners and floor supports into Chevy trucks for YEARS. I actually like doing exhaust work on my back. I'm sure I would be good at custom inlet or intercooler tubing. Limited to steel right now though. I'll trade ANY of my skills for a good body man :-) , but i warn you. if i like your work you will have to get room nearby. Did i say i HATE bodywork. crossy

I've seen Greg's truck, don't let him put in an intercooler for you! Although the grill will look cool hanging in your garage!

Haha, very funny  I would definitely not recommend the 3rd gen intercoolers from an aesthetic standpoint. The view of the pyro is like gold, though

I live in Cape Girardeau MO (100mi south of St Louis). I do have a concrete driveway, but am at the mercy of the weather. I have done Getrag rebuilds, injector pump work on and off engine, injectors, head gasket, lift pumps, brakes (Though I HATE doing them), basic parts R&R. WIlling to help any way I can.

Hey thanks for the wanting to help! Wish I knew some people in Indiana so I could make a trip of it :D Oh yeah, I can't forget the money I need for parts so we could do some work :( Haha O well, after college I have big plans for my little Super Dodge. I'm thinking twins and a strong auto for some good track runs. I'd like to see how far I could take the VE because I really like this pump. But somehow, I think a p7100 would get popped in eventually... ya know, after the VE hits the point to where it cant feed a combo with an HX-50 or 60  Man i love these evil grins of mine... the emoticons can't even come close to capturing it

Those folks in/around Harnett, Johnston, and Wake counties North Carolina who need somebody to hold the light, give me a holler. While I don't have a sheltered slab of concrete to work on, I do have a box full of tools with a '93 FSM. I ain't skeert to take a torch to something.

Let me know,

David
