Just pick up my first truck, just so happens to be a 1989 Dodge W250 in need of some TLC! Note that I'm going from lowered volvos to lifted dodges. Just looking for some answer to my questions. Looking to do 4" or 6" lift but can't decide. Plan on running 35x14x15 tires. And yea it's a gasser, not sure if I'll change that in the future. Also wondering if there is anyone else from Morris country on here? I'm sure I could use all the help I can get considering the truck has been sitting for the last 3 years. Some surface rust on the frame and bed and some rot on the passenger door, will get pics ASAP.

Thanks!
Nick

Ok, so the guy didn't want to sell it, and I kept looking for one and found it! Payed 510 bucks on it now giving him the rest and picking it up this weekend :-D!

huh? cell phone picture

bald 35's and a brand new 4 inch lift. 360 V8 with an automatic. Needed an oil pan and put the new one up but I think I bent the crank scraper thing up a little and now get a horrible scraping noise from the motor.....gonna take it down when I pick it up. Might be the torque converter inspection plate though too....Hopefully nothing major, the noise wasnt there before so we'll see when I take the pan down again.

And it's officially mine! Picked it up today. Having a charging issue, I read that the voltage regulator is in the ECU, but I can't find anywhere that sells them. Going to look further into it tomorrow and try to figure out what the hell that rattling noise is coming from the bottom of the motor. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

You can wire in an external regulator and bypass the one in the computer.

Does/did it have have a snow plow on it? Thinking this might be a sno-commander with the 60f and cab lights like that.

Thanks for the info on the bypass, that's what I'm doing now. And it did have a snow plow so it may have been!
