Merry Christmas all!
I've been lurking for while, so figured Id sign up...Ive used to have a 2nd gen 12v ('94 2500), but sold it when I moved to Norway. I still go back and forth alot to Texas...I'm about to embark on a conversion as well as buy a buddies 1st gen for my work truck and tow vehicle for taking our race car from Houston to Bonneville Salt Flats( 1500+miles one way and 10k plus). The driver is a '92 one ton 2wdclub cab with a flat bed. I honestly would rather have a normal bed and have one from a 250, but woul dneed fender extensions. It's an auto, which is the main thing that concerns me. he has done TONS of work to it over the last 7 years he's owned it.
Second is a conversion, using my '69 Chevy 3 door suburban. Its sitting on a '78 chevy 3/4ton 4x4 chassis and I have a wrecked '92 250 2wd truck for a donor. I am thinking of running the burb as 2wd and since I also have a '93 Chevy 3500HD with the huge Ibeam axle and Dana 70HD out back with 10/5 lug, it would make a HELL of a tow vehicle....anyways....new to 1st gens, but love them....many questions to come...

Here's a few crappy pics of some of my junk. The first is my driver '92 one ton(250k) with original paint. Rest are the donors for my project. A 91.5 3/4 ton 2wd that got hit in the front, a '95 3500HD for the chassis and my '69 3 door suburban that has a '68 front clip...I have rounded up a 7.3 intercooler, NV4500 and a HE351 for the burb project. I think I found a guy that has a 3.54 gear and carrier from a '95 Dodge D80 that I can swap into my Chevy 3500HD rear to replace the 4.63 gears. Its a 10 bolt wheel rear(19.5 wheels) with giant disc brakes.

I have changed my miind on using the K20 chassis currently under the burban now, I will swap the enitre 3500HD chassis under the suburban as it is twice as stout as the K20 frame. With slight notching of the chassis the Cummins should sit nice n low with no mods to the firewall.
