Hey I appreciate your service. There's a couple current or former military guys running around here.

I'm the local Power Stroke loyalist and it kills me to see someone dump even a 6 Leaker for a Cummins. That manifold's a neat trick to get it to fit beside the heater box.

My brother sold his 6.0h no to me sister's boyfriend... He knows some mechanical and nothing about diesels. Guess who gets called on for help and advice since my brother lives 2+ hours away?

NO WAY would I take a 6 leaker. It was fun to be in when he raced but that was it!

I liked the 6.0 except the cost involved in fixing it. Plus i've always had a soft spot for cummins and cant replace how it feels when people double take when i drive by

Keep up the dogging on 6.0L  That only makes them cheaper. I understand the cost thing, but I've looked at adapter plates, flex plates, and motor mounts and this Fummins fad isn't cheap either. What transmission did you use? ZF, 5R, or Dodge?

cost wasn't that bad after i sold all the old stuff and the donor truck i got it from. When i bought my ZF6 it came with a ford cummins adapter plate, i bought a south bend clutch, came with the fly wheel, pressure plate and clutch disk. Destroked motor mounts and a lot of hand fab stuff. I love the truck though, just trying to make more power now.

Was worried for a minute, the back 4 push rods had to come out the same time as the head because they wont clear the head before hitting the cab.

Good lookin truck. I'm a fummins owner as well and love it. That 6.0 makes power IF it's running. That's too big of an IF for me. Stranded me twice and was not cheap to fix. I pulled mine, put a 97 12 valve with compound turbos and a zf6 and love it.
