Newb saying hey

Postby 93 W350 LE » Sun May 12, 2013 6:57 pm

So I inherited my dads truck about 3yrs ago. He was the second owner, and it is as he bought it just a bit rougher from my uncle abusing it for a couple years before it came to me. I am new to diesel but have been a Mopar guy since 16. All I have left of all the Mopars is my 79 Ramcharger 4x4, and my 93 W350 LE CTD 4x4 auto dually. My 93 is my daily driver with 179k original miles, Banks power pack with exhaust, GearVendors OD, BD engine brake, and air bags front and rear. I also use it to haul my home(34'5th wheel). I hope to restore it to its former glory and maybe add a little power without sacrificing reliability.

Welcome ! Where in Fl. ? You can get quite a bit useable power for not much $$ with these old trucks. I tow/live in a 35 ft. 5th wheel while we are in Tx. for a few more months.

I am in Fort Myers for now, may be heading back to Oklahoma soon.
What kind of mpg can a guy get, and still be able to haul at hiway speeds, and stay reliable?
