hi from maine

Postby ghinkley » Tue Jul 30, 2013 4:03 am

i've been lurking for awhile and its time for me to introduce myself. i'm from winn, me and i'm 29 years old. i bought my first truck back in my first year of college, it was a 1500 dodge short bed reg. cab with a gas 360 and auto. about four years ago i blew the tranns in it and replaced it with a five speed, after that i found an 89 cummins parts truck with good motor and drive train and started my conversion. i now have 1 ton running gear and a nv4500, the cummins got the free mods then compounds and injectors. i'm having a ton of fun with it and never leave it alone.

thanks again
I've got some rust repair to do and thinking about painting it. plan to try powder coating the piping and stuff under the hood. trying to break 400hp but having trouble. I was thinking of a matte color or bedliner on the truck, I use it for work and bombing through the woods so no point in shiny.

i'm trying to decide on the next mod, a very limited budget, house and kids have to come first.

Very cool little rig!! Well, Big Little rig

I like the badges too! My 2nd gen conversion still has the V10 badges on it

Does it have the Trac-Lok rear end? If so you should do the clutch pack restack!!

the rear end came from an old pull truck and was pretty stove up, so i ended up welding the center section solid. gets a lot of scared looks when i corner.
