Newish and want to say hello

Postby 92diesel250 » Fri Aug 16, 2013 9:11 pm

Hi everyone,

i've watched on here for a couple of months now and finally wanted to say hi and whats going on with me and my truck.

'92 d250 170ish,000 miles- totally stock. third owner
1. military officer in 29 palms
2. family owned asphalt company
3. me

it was a real pain (and im still finding it everywhere) getting all that asphalt from out of the bed.

anyways... big plans hopefully. i wanted a four wheel drive so down the line i'll probably SAS it with a divorced t/c to make it easy.

Since i've bought the truck 6ish months ago i've bought a full compliment of gauges from isspro-
tach, fuel press, pryo, boost. I've read the free mods and done a few so far. I ground the fuel pin down pretty severely- everything else stock it bumped up boost about 7lbs (up from 8 to 15) mpgs went down and smoke went up. it caused the slide pin to leak from the oring just a little so i put another stock pin back in.

i have waiting to install is an he351- nothing crazy yet but i hope to just be getting started.

well- this is just the beginning and far from the end so thanks for all the info so far and all that will come

Another third owner here. 1990 w350, manual trans. Roughly 170xxx (odo stopped working)

1. Dept. of defense employee who hauled a rec. 5th wheel and drove to and from work
2. Cummins enthusiast who just had to have a 2nd Dodge Cummins (he owns a 2002)
3. Me

Got boost and pyro installed the rest of the truck is stock except for an exhaust brake, 4"exhaust and air bags. I do a lot of reading here as well as the turbo diesel register (TDR). Don't forget TDR. Great info there just like this site. Welcome.
