Hello from Wyoming! I am not really a big Dodge fan, but I love the 12v Cummins in both varieties. I plan on a Cummins swap in the future and have been doing research and collecting parts for it. That is how I wound up here. I plan on building a 1983 GMC K2500 with a VE pumped 12v. I have a '93 1-ton donor truck and a HE351VE with a 6.7 manifold that may or may not get used. I plan on running a Banshee stand alone controller for the turbo. I have already swapped a NV4500 in to the truck out of a '94 1-ton Chevy. I plan on having that rebuilt into a hybrid transmission. I intend on running a NP205 transfer case and possibly an Atlas as well. I will probably go with a Dana 60 up front and a FF disc brake rear end out of a 1-ton duramax. That is the basic rundown on the build plan. Once I get my shop up and start tearing down the '83 and the donor truck I will start a build thread here. I look forward to spending some more time here as there seems to be a wealth of knowledge.

Cheers,

Brew

Welcome!

FWIW, any Duramax has the same rear end.

Thanks for the welcome.

@Rumblefish : No I have not owned a SRT, I had a friend with one right after high school. I have a new Ford Focus ST I use for my daily commuter.

@oldestof11 : Thanks, I knew they all ran AAM1150's but I wasn't sure if 1-ton received a lower gear ratio option. It doesn't appear that way as it seems they are all 3.73:1.
