New member here. Anyone try these springs?

Hey guys,

I frequent the forum reading the posts and thought I'd make an account. Lots of great 1st gen specific stuff here :)

Have any of you tried these springs out yet? http://customsuspension.com/products/dodge-pickup-dsl-1980-93-front-tapered-springs-softride-oem-height-pair

I'm sure many of you have heard of their 2 leaf design and that a lot of people were unhappy with them. Seems like the consensus was they were overly built and didn't have enough give to them.
They state that "When it comes to our 2 leaf design, the 3 leaf design spring is unbelievable, ride doesn't even compare, these spring absorb every bump in the road and don't require the purchase of Bilstein Shocks to help with spring isolation."

Just curious what every ones opinions are and if they are a viable option for improving the ride in these old bricks.

I would think that to be a pretty stiff setup with 3 full length springs like that. That would make a constant spring rate versus one that increases with load like a stock pack.

Didn't know they made a new set, I bought the 2-leaf ones and wasn't impressed. I'm currently just running the main leaf out of that pack with bilsteins and I'm still not horribly impressed.

I can confirm that a single leaf from those packs can hold our trucks up so 3 seems overkill unless something is way different.

I've emailed them about it and they said these are "true parabolics" unlike their 2 leaf system. I'm just not comfortable dropping that much money on this company when 50% of people like / hate the ride of their "parabolic" springs. These look to be kind of like what ford uses, I'm not sure if their leafs are the same lengths or progressive though.
