new project, new to 1st gens

Hello everyone

Thanks for having me here. Seems like a really good bunch. After wanting a 12V for 20 years I finally got one and am pretty stoked to start playing with it. This is my first Dodge I have ever owned and even though its only a partial, I have always liked 1st gens. Still in the early mock up stages but so far things are going well. I'm trying to mate a 1947 Mercury 1 ton onto a 1991 D250 chassis. After measuring different frames this one I thought would work the best because the narrow frame width lends itself well to the long nose of the Mercury. And of course it has a Cummins built into it. The donor D250 pedals, brakes, etc should all work fairly well too. Will be lowering the truck as well. I can already see that there are challenges ahead in that department in the front especially but hopefully can make it happen. Look forward to sharing the project and learning about these trucks from you guys.
