New guy from Northern IN

Postby tbidigare » Fri Sep 18, 2015 6:13 pm

I bought a 92 D250 (automatic-209,000 miles) and a 95 29' 5th wheel camper about a month ago for $4,500. Last night I sold the camper and hitch for $4,500. As much as I wish it had 4wd and a standard transmission, I can't complain for what I have in it. My first project is going to be ball joints, tie rods, and brakes. After that... who knows. She runs and drives damn good other than the sloppy front end and its pretty clean for being a midwest truck. It has a few rust spots in the cab corners and doors as well as a couple of dents, dings, and scratches in the bed. I look forward to your guys' input in the near future when I start turnin her up.

Welcome!

Very nice truck, I wish mine was red again...

Since you basically got a free truck, why not convert it to four wheel drive and a manual transmission?

I'm in Middlebury, IN. The thought never really crossed my mind to convert it to a 4wd manual until now... May have to do a little research.

That's why I have been looking at D250/350's more and more. A bit less expensive, and there are plenty of rusted out donors around the Mid-West ;)
