New from S. Maine, with a FS bronco / 6bt/518/ 241 swap

Postby adcotton » Mon Sep 21, 2015 9:28 am

New to the forum, Ashton from southern Maine.

Currently working on swapping a cummins and a518 from a rolled 1993 W250

Have a sandblasted frame, With duff radius arms, Waiting on axle wedges to mount the Ford D60 front, And the rear is a sterling 10.25 with grizzly locker.

Picked up a 1996 241 DHD for $300 to make it driver drop on the t case. will have to figure out how to make my fords speedo cable fit.

am using autoworld conversion mounts, Got a new BD super B turbo, heavier valve springs, and 5X12 sac injectors for the old girl. denny t 2 pin, And 3200 spring.
hoping to top 300 RWHP.. will surely be a lot more exciting that the injected 302 that was in it!

Will probably be buying a converter through Eric @ hungry diesel and am going to try my luck at running the transmission as is with band adjustments and upping line pressure. clean fluid and seemed to run fine for me driving the truck wrecked.

Pictures to come!!

Welcome.
For the speedo cable, if it doesn't thread on, there are companies that specialize in custom cables. Have to go this route on a project of mine, gonna be using a shop downstate.
