I'm sure Ellis will be by shortly to.welcome you, and I believe his Cummins powered Chevy is a 24v with a VE. Check out his build thread under conversions and builds

Will do and thanks for the heads up about Ellis and his truck. I see so many post on putting a Ppump on and hardly any on doing what I want to do so it's always helpful to see what others have done and how they did it.

The deciding factor for me was the 500$ lines. Screw that. No way in hell do they cost 500$ to build....

Only thing that was hard to find was the line adapters.....I found them and they're referenced in my tread. Only thing about those is I had to trim the length of them for the line nuts to seat properly. I bought mine either on amazon or eBay.

If your going to try and use the 24v injectors......leave them alone, run them as is. The factory 24v injector is a 7hole variant and if you lower the pop pressure to the VE's 245bar I believe you'll wind up with idle haze. I don't know that for certain (haven't done it with this 24v) but in a 12v they do in the cold. Once warm.....they're ok.
I've put close to 9500 miles on the Chevy and 24v now......injectors at whatever worn injectors are at,at 200k factory injectors,no issues from the rebuilt injection pump.....knock on wood.

Whatever else you need to know.....pm me or post up here, anywhere. I'll be glad to share whatever knowledge I have.

Other than needing 25 posts to see and use the classifieds, the rest is navigable as a newb. The pm feature may be as well.

Welcome...........Ellis and myself have 24 valve ve engines. Ellis is better than me as far as taking pics etc......... I think he actually did a build thread on it too. I'll be happy to answer any questions on it as well.
