Howdy Everyone

EClancy here from NY (unfortunatly)

My addiction of choice is my 1992 W250 4x4. It used to be the town DPW's plow truck and has lived a tough life. Its in better hands now.

I'm 24, and drive a Peterbilt with a lowboy, hauling construction equipment.

EClancy, where in central NY are you and who do you drive for? Just being nosy! We're starting to have some local get togethers.

Mark here,

I have been running a portable sawmill for about 11 years now, mostly part time. I also work as a free lance handyman. I used to be a foreign car mechanic many years ago, but now I just work on my own cars and every now and then buy and fix one to sell. From April through October though I am primarily a sea kayaking guide and instructor, and have been doing that for three years now.

I keep meaning to get into making biodiesel, but I just haven't had the spare time and money to get it set up. I do buy it at the pump whenever I go to the city.

Boats keep me poor...I have one unfinished kayak building project, one completed one, a couple of storebought kayaks, a small sailboat, and three powerboats. I also have a wife, two daughters, a small flock of sheep and 15 acres of land with a barn, a shop and a old mobile home.

whew!

Hi, my name is Daniel and I am almost a dieselholic. Not really, it just sounds cool. Most of you that have been in the TDR know my life story and criminal history, so I wont repeat it here. I am a jack of all trades, currently unemployed (though NOT draining the economy like some ;)- I have neighbors who can outdrain any working person's tax input), going to horseshoeing school in March or May so I can start making some decent money, and not have a boss to answer to. I have driven trucks (farm- CDL exempt), ridden bulls in rodeos (til I got fat in college), worked in factories, done some construction work, and a lot of other stuff I cant repeat or think of now. I have some mechanical ability, and know a good deal about 1st Gens and diesel engines in general. I've done injector pump rebuilds (oki, resealed, but that's all some shops do for their $600 rebuild), transmissions, head gaskets, injectors, etc, etc. My pickup is slightly modified- pump putting out a little more than stock, DDP stage 1 injctors, 14cm W-G housing, 4in exhaust.

I have a great girlfriend 4-1/2 years my junior who bought her own house and new (Dodge) truck before she was 22. She works at an automotive shop in Cape, and they are upgrading from a 3-bay shop to an 8-bay shop. We are fixing up on the house she bought in 05; plan to resell it this year (I need to get off the computer and get to work, but some people asked me to come and chime in) or next, and make a handsome prfit off it. It's amazing what cutting grass, removing an old fence row, and removing old garpet will do for the value of a house.
