I know the D in 500D stands for diesel! I also know it has a M&W turbo kit on it!
Daryl, you should come up, it's a good party, lots of fun. I drive 11 hours to go, no hesitation. :D

Jay the Case 500D is a larger Case tractor with a big 4 cyl diesel in it. I'll get a pic for you. I'll be at Jeremy's place tomorrow for a while.

Pete the one with the turbo isn't the 500 model. It was the one inside the pole barn on the north end.

Thats why we were in MO last week. We picked up another front end for that tractor and a ATV for Michiel's boss. We left here at 5:00 in the morning. It was 11:30 that night when we got back. Then at 5:00AM I was back up and headed for OK. Boy that was a short night. :(

Hi Fellas,

The Case 500 Diesel was introduced in 1953 as the largest diesel tractor of its kind. I happen to have a 1954 model. It is a straight six, 377 CID rated at 65 PTO HP and 58 DB(drawbar for you nonfarmer folk). Wide open is 1350 rpm and torque is 600 plus ft/lbs. It is a lot of fun to work ground with. It is also the first tractor I bought when I was a teenager. Pete, the turbo is on a Case 400 Diesel (4cyl). It may appear to be cobbled together, but it works well. There are plans to redo the plumbing on it this winter. BTW any eaxtra TCH buckets for an air intake I could have? Just kidding.

If Pete wasn't giving me some grief, I would be very concerned that he was sick. I hope he and the Mrs. come back again this year.

Yeah Tim, that's it! Those 2 keys are so close! :)

We plan on it! :P Now that the wife is out of school and passed her boards, (state nurse licenseing test) we'll have a little more money. She'll probably be more social too!
I've got more buckets, want them full or empty?

for you nonfarmer folk

I once grew a vegateble garden...tomateos, peppers, even sweet taters once. I stopped when the racoons and squirrels got more than I did.
My father-in-law had an Oliver that he used to hay his 2 acres of open meadow....
We both used the tractor a couple of times ...we used the PTO to reel in the kites we were flying. Did you know that empty cans make great balast?
I even drove a Ford 8N a couple of times...hauling firewood out of the woods.
I my house is 1/4 mile away from a tractor dealer...he has probably 25 pieces of used and becomming derelict hay balers in his lot.
Now I know the history of Case tractors.
I know enough to close the door behind me when I enter a building.
Do I qualify as a "farmer folk"?
