body lift questions

Postby 1dumrednek » Wed Jun 17, 2009 8:51 pm

just to be clear i'm not a huge fan of body lifts but it fits my budget and i need it to clear my tires. the only body lift i could find was made by Performance Accessories. does anyone else make them? the issues i had with them is it says not for trucks equipped with the diesel engine. i found out from their tech line that it's actually "not recommended for trucks with diesel engines". their reasonning for this was your rad moves up with the body and your fan doesn't so they were worried about overheating issues. anyone had experince with this?

thanks

theres been plenty of ctd's with body lifts. i dont like them either, but its your truck. unless you tow heavy, i wouldnt worry about it. is your truck intercooled? if it is, i imagine you'd need to tweak the piping too.

ya it's intercooled. i never thought of that. i'd probably have to cut the pipes then or something eh?
