Power steering return hose source

Postby dpuckett » Sat Oct 17, 2009 4:40 pm

I am in the process of changing the steering box on my buddy's 93 W250, and managed to twist the return line fitting in two, right where it comes out of the steering box. Parts stores only list the bulk hose for the return line- cant get the fitting and 6" of steel line that come out of the box. Where can I get one? (ironically, the return hose is new- replaced about 8 weeks ago). I'd prefer new, but if someone has a good used one around (Mark Nixon?), I'd take it, too.

Truth?
One from about ANY application will work, as long as it screws into the box orifice.
There are some angle differences, but they are usually massagable.
I have one off a smallblock on the carhauler right now.

I went to the local NAPA store, and pored over their book for 15min, and found one. I had come to the same conclusion as you, Mark- just get something that will screw in and reach. The one I got was $10 and change. Not bad, IMO.

Now we have to warranty the p/s pump........
