Pete,
It wouldn't be the first time I was mistaken, but, you know, I have yet to actually take apart a '92 or '93 that DIDN'T have cruise already. :?
All I know the '91 column that I have in the carhauler DIDN'T originally have cruise, yet the original '91 wiring plug has the 4 (maybe it's 5?) wires in the clockspring plug, instead of just the 2 for the horn.

The dash/column wiring in the truck now is a '92 one and I do have 2 issues that need tracked down.
1 being that the cruise doesn't work, the other is no hazard signals, though I have EVERYTHING else, even speedo, all guages, dash lights, park, headlights, dimmer, all turn signals, preheater controls, dome lamp, cargo lamp, key switch light and brake lights.
Even an annoying keybuzzer.

Mark.

When I did the cab swap, I planned on installing criuse and just using toggle switches on the dash instead of the wheel mounted ones. I was looking at the harness by the brake light switch and it had the 4 wire switch and no wires for cruise. So I looked at the FSM and looked closer at the harness, no cruise, no interval wiper. I was bummed. Now I have a work around figured out. ;)
You may just have a bad switch on those that don't work, or a bad clockspring. (sorry I said that out loud  )

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Pete, I know I'm getting POWER because if I have the radio set on AM in a dead frequency, I get a pop when the cruise is switched on and off.
My cruise servo is a '93 unit from a gasser that I adapted to work.
It's possible it's FUBAR.

IIRC, the 1st gens DON'T rely on the abs sensor for the cruise to function, correct?
