Have any of you guys had problems with rear hub nuts wearing away at the bearing mating surface? My 90 d250 had a groove worn into it on one side of the truck. Now, I was inspecting the rear brakes on my 91 d350, and both hub nuts are worn pretty badly. The truck has 250+ miles. The adjustment of the bearings seemed fine before disassembly. The plastic that is embedded in the nut shows several lock installation locations, so the previous owner must have "adjusted" the wear out of the nuts a few times.
Anyway, are the nuts/locks still available? I'm assuming that the outer bearing was spinning on the axle to cause this. Any comments?
