i just got a 1990 w250 and it does not have a bed im gonna put a flat bed on it and i want to convert it to a dually i dont want to change rear end from a dana 70 to 80 can u run just regular dually wheels without using spacers and if i haft to use spacers what size do i use ive seen on the computer some people use 4 inch

It's cheaper and safer to find a cab and chasis rearend in my opinion.

Not so much cheaper, but safer and easier yes.

you don't need a D80, just a Dually D70 1st gen rearend.

but if you could find a D80 that would be nice

I've got a set of 4" spacers on mine to give me the dually rear end.....if I were to do it all over again, id just find a new rear axle and front hubs, it will be a lot cheaper in the end than putting spacers on the rear and on the front
1992 D350 CC LB 5-spd CTD, 366 GSK, Rotated Fuel Pin, Fuel Screw 1 turn off runaway, Factory Match Pyro and Boost, 4" Diamond eye exhaust, and a broken front sway bar :-)

Well I have access to a couple cheap c&c rears that's why I said cheaper. Can get a complete rear for $400 and that's what most want for adapters.

agreed, don't go adaptors if you're planning on putting the dually wheels on the front and rear.....in the end it'll cost more....throw a new axle under the rear and call it a day
