brake issues. help!

Postby blk_smoke » Wed Nov 02, 2011 9:19 am

ok so on my 92' d250 2wd. 70% of the time my brakes are ok. during the other, I get the brake emergency lights turning on in the dash and the brake pedel goes down almost to the floor...I still have brakes just way more pedel travel. It is totally random when it happends, sometimes the truck will be fine for a week... any ideas?

thanks

Sounds like the ABS accumulator. Its on the inside of the drivers rear frame rail, above and rear ward of the axle. There are several treads about deleting it. There are fittings available to put the two lines together that's in the accumulator.
