steering box

Postby lopez dodge » Wed Jan 04, 2012 8:15 am

my brother was "playing around" slid his truck into a ditch. now the steering will not turn right , turns WAY left. crawled under it yesterday and nothing is bent. it seems to be hitting the internal stop in the box. is there any way to readjust this short of having the box rebuilt?

You should pull the pitman arm off and look to see if the shaft is twisted. If it is,new box is needed :yuck:
