Finally got my 92 back from another shop. $1700 and a REAL COMPLETE brake job later, the death wobble is gone. (the price included some non related stuff).
IF YOU HAVE THE DEATH WOBBLE, it is most likely your brakes. The reason I say this is both my trucks had the death wobble and after fixing everything else without success, only a good though properly done brake job fixed the wobble. Do not cheep out, do not short cut, do not that's good enough. You will only be wasting you money and time.
Both rotors were over limits and warped, both drums were over limits. Not just over, but way over. That good enough mentality was not good enough, but that has been the attitude at several shops I've been to.
If you have to take your truck to a shop, tell them only that you want a good brake job and to replace drums or rotors that are or will be out of spec after turning. Otherwise they will argue with you as to what is causing the death wobble and cost you a lot of money and not fix the problem. I have several thousand $$$$ experience on this subject.
