Haha I actaully just ordered a set of skyjacker d200cs front springs. They were on sale at 4wheelparts with free shipping! I couldnt resist. They were instock but they are waiting on the bushings to come in on a stock order next week...

If you can get some pics that would be great. Im debating on having someone else do the install... I know I can just cut the spring bolts, but not sure if the top bolts in the frame bushings will be siezed...

How high is your deaver lift, and do you plan on any steering upgrades? I plan on doing without at first and see how it does, my wheel is already way off center from the springs sagging, so if it goes the other way that wouldnt bother me much

you know i have both the front out and it wasent all that bad taking them out, but i still need to get out the studs from the axle. dont cut the ubolt i was able to get most of them out with an impact and the rest with a craftsman breaker bar.
the deaver springs are a 3 inch to 3.5 inch lift. it doest look like i need to upgrade the steering but i will check if i need to when i have it finished and installed on the truck and i road check it. but i have longer braided lines so thats one upgrade. my wheel has always been off since i bought the truck but the bottom bearing is worn and the steering colunum broke and steering shaft feel into the steering box so lee steering said they will fix the column and rebuild my hydro boost too so killing 2 birds with one bullet. and im loading my picture on facebook cause it quicker and easier. look up scott devall and you should find me my picture is the picture of the springs in the truck

You will want to upgrade the steering in some fashion with any lift. As far as i can tell i have 1'' lift in the front and i lost some steering in one direction due to the non-adjustable drag link. You could get an adjustable drag link, raised steering arm, etc but spending alittle more for crossover is the best bet.

so i totally lost all my steering on the left turns so you guys were right. and so i found out that skyjacker was the only company that made a ajustable drag link for our trucks which it cost me $225. i bought it at a discount from 4 wheel parts at the off road show. so they said it should be in by wednesday. so all i have that to do left is cut the rivet out on the front hanger and put a plow bolt in, and after those 2 things it should be ready to go on a test drive. the problem is that the hanger is a off road design and the way it sets its against the rear rivet so it wont let it travel any father back. so sink a plow bolt into the frame will let it travel back. you guys want pictures let me now

so i have really good news and some bad news. Well the really good news is that the deaver springs are done, brakes bleed, stanless steelines extended lines installed, the bilstien shocks intalled and the skyjacker ajustable draglink in. so its ready for a test drive suspension and steering wise but now there is a major problem.
i have a serious electrical problem.
i have no headlights, my oil pressure gauge shoots up all the way, and my fuel tank guage stays empty, the radio doesnt work period. and when i open my doors the oil pressure light goes on and my fass fuel pump starts runing, and on top of that when i turn the off it continues to run for about 15 seconds afterward.
so f**k this truck

If it just came up all the sudden it must be something you moved while working on it I would guess...

How is your FASS wired in, dedicated line, or run off the fuse block?

the fass takes the voltage off the back up fuse cause it hot when the igntion is hot. and it takes voltage right off the battery

I lost a whole fuse line for an unknown reason, you might check to see if it still gets hot, mine turned out to be a broken wire at the firewall main plug

Nice to hear they worked well :D
Did it affect cornering much? (since we don't have anti-roll bars on our trucks like the Chevys)
And did the rear spring eliminate the need for the stock blocks?
