If everything but the engine is there, then all you should need is the driveshaft. Why not just put your engine in the other truck? Is it in a lot worse condition?

from what i have been told everything on the frames between the 4x4 and the 2x4 are the same if u find a donor truck i should be as simple as stiiting the trucks side by side and start swapping parts! the crossmember does have to be changed though and when i do mine i will probly just pull the engine first just to ease in the swap

FWIW the one swap I did required a lot of hole drilling, grinding and torch work to swap the 4x4 parts into a 4x2. In my experiecne the frames ARE diffrent and most op the holse needed for the shackles and shock mounts aren't on the 4x2 frame. To me swapping the front ends is impractical, you would be better off getting a whole running gear and swapping cabs or even cheaper yet trade the truck for one like you like.
