OK now that problem has been fixed, i have a question my truck will turn 1/2 revolution of the steering wheel farther to the left than it will to the right, i have looked at the pittman arm and box it does have both pieces new and i tried to pull the arm to maybe adjust it but can,t get the pullers on it cause of the spring so im just drivin it that way for now., but i need to fix it, looks to me like the arm only needs to move maybe 2 teeth not 1/4 turn but i don't know.

I have the same issue with my W250- turns sharper than the Dakota to the leftt- but requires a 40ac field to turn to the right. My adjusting screw is even out of the left side knuckle (the one that adjusts right hand turning). I figure it's something in the box. It is an original from an 84 2wd, has the 20:1 ratio, etc. It's just on there til I get around to sending the box from the diesel in to PSC for a rebuild. At least this one holds fluid, for now.

My 89 is the same way. Turns sharp one way, not so much the other. I had another 89 that would turn sharp both ways. Don't know why.

I think its a steering geometry and frame flex thing. I have heard other people have even put a adjustable tie rod from a chevy between the box and axle to even this out. my 93 has that problem bad, even with a new box and good tie rods.
