Anyone know where I can get a power steering box mounting bracket? Mine is about to split in half!

Dodge had a brace to the front crossmember in the 70's if you can find one in a junk yard. 4x4 trucks and RC's
It would probably make the new brace last longer. If your brace is broken, check the frame. It cracks next and will need to be repaired. Some weld it, some plate the back, some box the frame.
Mine is welded for the second time and I think I will either install hydro assisted steering or buy a repro brace from:

Good luck and check that frame closely, especially around the front mounting bolt (if you are 4x4)

I got one from the dealer for $22. My frame is cracked badly in front of the box mount, so I will be welding the heck out of it.....
I looked at the brace, can't figure out how it mounts???

The part that sticks out bolts onto the front crossmember, triangulating that corner. I'm ordering that brace for my current truck, which has a perfect frame and bracket. I want it to stay perfect. I can't even remember how many cracked frames, loose spring hanger rivets, and cracked steering box brackets I've seen on these trucks.

Just replaced one on my wifes daily driver (why is the steering wheel all the sudden in a different stop?). It was $18 + tax. New parts guy had a hard time finding it in lookup, but the part number for a 92 w250 is 52037876.

Will this brace work for a 4x4? My frame is cracked bad. When you turn the wheel to the left, the steering gear moves 1/4in.

Here's an idea...

Mine wasn't bad - yet - so what I did was get a new brace, bolts, and basically mount/weld it in behind the frame and gusset it down to the crossmember like this:

I beg to disagree...

He left out the gusset. That's basically what I did, except using a OE brace for the boxing portion and stitching it in, instead of full seam welding. The gusset down to the crossmember is the key piece that provides the structural rigidity to prevent the frame from cracking under stress. There is nothing supporting the frame laterally against the steering box. It may just crack at the ends of his welds.

But that boxed portion sure never will break!
