removing leaf springs

Postby fatstack » Sun Mar 11, 2012 7:03 pm

Will I be able to tow if I remove all but two rear leaf springs? All I tow is a 20 ft gooseneck. Thanks

Dam the bad luck. How can I get traction on pavement and still tow? Also my new diff has a lincoln locker

Maybe the 2 leafs + air bags for towing would work. Idk just an idea

Thats kind of along the lines of what I was thinking, or traction bars would be all i could daily drive along with all the leaves? Could I see some homebrew pics of either or?

If you're pulling a trailer, I would think a welded diff will be way more of a concern than your truck sitting on it's bumpstops all the time.

What sort of traction are you trying to achieve? Are you wanting to stop wheelhop or what?

WHen your truck isn't hooked to a trailer, what are you planning to do with it?

Just trying to achieve maximum traction on pavement in the 1320. Its generally a hot rod playtoy when not hooked to a trailer. Thanks
