Hello everyone!
I purchased a very clean '92 CC 4x4 D250 this weekend and I am beginning to do some maintenance and repairs – starting with new tires as the old one are dry rotted a bit.
I saw a picture of CumminsPower59's truck with the stock steel wheels and 285/75/16 tires and I really loved the look. Searching thru the forums some more I see that many people have mixed feelings about this size – most seem to say or think it is too big for the stock 6” rim. I will be towing 5-6k lbs a couple times a month and I am curious as to how they tow as well.
I realize I could go with 265/75/16 and be safe and that is what I may end up doing since my truck has a pretty high gear as is and the 285/75/16's will only add to this.
Any advise or opinions on this?
Thanks in advance!
