i adjusted mine and it helped out alot, but i dont think mine had as much slop as yours. i just google dodge diesel steering gear adjustment and it brought up links to several sites with info on how to do it. very simple, but make sure you follow the directions. you can screw things up if not. i have heard several people say you should never adjust them. i too think if it has that much slop, then you should rebuild it or buy a new one
