Oh ok, thats the one you already said you fixed ;) .

I had thought about lining the inner shaft with waw paper and then filling the outer with epoxy or JB Weld just to take up the slack and it would still collapse in a collision. Not sure if it'd work but just an idea. The new column seems good and tight so it should be ok.

Maybe since my current column is broke, thats why it measures different than the new one :?: . Guess I'll find out when I pull it and can do a side byt side comparison.

I didn't realize I had covered that earlier in the thread, my bad! :lol: That's what happens when threads hang on for a long time and I don't go way back to refresh my memory. ;)

If you can pull the shaft that bolts to the rag joint out by hand, it's bad. If not, it's ok.
