rotor thickness

Postby winkgnz » Mon Nov 11, 2013 5:18 pm

I have to do a brake job on my 92 w250 diesel. The local NAPA lists two rotors for the 4500 lb front axle. Which on is right? The dealer told me they couldn't tell by theVIN? I think he was just being lazy and didn't want to take the time to research it. Anyway any info is appreciated.

You need the 1.5" rotors.

They switched in late 1989. Trucks with the big Selectro style external lockouts had 1.25" and trucks with the warn hubs like yours had 1.5". They are the same as a Chevy rotor.
