Did some spring swapping myself, RC. If it makes you feel any better, I broke out the big boys on the eye bolts and still didn't get them. This is a 1" drive, 13/16" socket.

I still ended up sliding a wafer wheel between the hanger and the spring, then torching the bushing out and sliding a new bushing and bolt in. You gotta pick your battles, and trying to drive a rusted bolt out of a rubber-encased sleeve ain't for me.

That does make me feel better...

Springs are awesome... some more time on them and I'm realizing that they are very soft.

BY FAR THE BEST LEAF SPRINGS I HAVE EVER HAD.

It'll be a few days... driveline is out at the shop getting shortened again.... and I darn near ripped the steering box completely off the frame today. It's cracked out BAD!

Oh, no.... this truck has seen too much money... I have a feeling that 10 years from now I'm going to call it my $75k black hole. I've gone far enough with it that if something fails, I just go all out and upgrade. Sad part is the body hasn't fallen apart yet, so it still looks like a $1500 pos.

That's like mine. Except mines so beat up it looks more like a $500 truck, or something you'd buy for parts. I'll get to the body one day, but engine first

I finally was able to take some pictures (truck is back and put together).... PLEASE someone post tonight so that I can remind the wife to post them up. I'm far from tech savvy.
