Front end wobble 92 D350

Postby JimmyDUSMC35 » Mon Apr 14, 2014 7:17 pm

I've read several threads on this but mine is a little different. My front end doesn't start to wobble until over 70 mph or if I put the throttle to the floor and let off then it shakes like hell. The passenger front tire was worn really weird, so I replaced the tire yesterday and it still shakes like a SOB. Any ideas on what to look for and where to start ?

Worn tire? Id look into tie rods, ball joints, control arm bushings, wheels bearings etc. Any excess movement you find will contribute to this wobble youre feeling.

I would start with checking wheel bearings and ball joints. Check the steering box to make sure it is attached and not loose. Check tie rods. I would bet its ball joints.

Don't forget the strut bushings that hold the A arm in place.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
